Gadahar – Jackass

Galavant – Hanging around without doing anything constructive

Galvanize – Zinc sheets used to cover roofs

Galary – (Gallery) – Verandah or porch, Showing off, e.g. If yuh see how she galary sheself.

Gamecock – A breed of rooster(cockrel) bred for the sport of cockfighting.

Gams – The distance from your thumb to any finger. This was important when playing three hole marble pitch long time, especially if you had large hands.

Gayelle – A place, usually secretive, where cockfights occur (cockfighting is illegal in Trinidad and Tobago). Also, the name of a local television station (Gayelle TV).

Gazette paper – Newspaper

Get on – Misbehave, e.g. Man, why you gettin on so?- Why are you misbehaving?

Gilpin – Cutlass/machete

Goat mout' – Bad luck, usually when somebody predicts the bad outcome (sometimes good outcome) of an event and it really happens; e.g. He put goat mout' on meh;a cyah get a job

Gobar- Cattle dung

Go down – (Pertains to eating) Usage: Man, dat food go down good, it tasty too bad“The food was very delicious.

Goin' of – Someone who appears to be going out of their mind, acting strangely

Gone tru – Gone through. Past it's prime. No longer useful

Gouti – Agouti, e.g. Boy we ketch two gouti las night http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_agouti

Grancharge – To make threats about getting into a fight without the intention of carrying out the threat, a false threat; e.g. “He only granchargin' man!”

Guana – Iguana

Gundy- Crab claws

Gun talk – Fighting words, to threaten verbally
