Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour (or 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1/2 cup wholewheat flour)
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • tsps ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • cups grated apple
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  • To start, gather your ingredients. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
  • Grease and flour a 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan.
  • Begin by preparing the apples; peel and chop them into small cubes, allowing their natural sweetness to shine through in the bread.
  • Next, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and oats in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, milk, and oil.
  • Gradually, add the liquid to the flour mixture and combine to create a smooth mixture. Fold in the chopped apple, nuts, and raisins, ensuring an even distribution throughout.
  • Finally, bake the bread for 55 to 66 minutes or until it turns a golden brown, filling your kitchen with an irresistible aroma. Let it cool before slicing, and enjoy the delicious combination of flavors.
