Mothers Day

Today in Trinidad and Tobago we celebrate Mothers Day. A special time indeed, where we honour all mothers. So what did I do today?… Strange as it may seem I did not cook, my sister did, but I was still there to take a few pictures to share with you all. But on a more serious note, I would like to share my thoughts about mothers on this auspicious day.

Mothers, to me, have a full time job of raising children, running a home and in some cases holding down a job at the same time. Yet most do not complain (well, most of the time) and see it as their duty and obligation to raise their children as respectable citizens, to the best of their ability. The word LOVE has a different meaning to mothers. A mothers love is for her child is unconditional, undying, inseparable, instinctive, overwhelming …Too many to type.

Some will sacrifice everything to see their children succeed in life. You may be dealt an ill hand of fate in life and you would still have your mother at your side to support you, nurse you, console you…When all have forsaken you, look again and you will see your mother still there at your side. Mothers are truly a gift; a blessing.

All I am saying is treasure your mother (you only have one) and celebrate her life today. And husbands, honour your wives as well for they deserve it. Happy Mothers Day. Enjoy the pics! 🙂
